It's the holiday season again.
Time for family, friends, our favorite foods, and if you can, giving a little something back to those less fortunate.
Last year, My Own Two Hands asked our passionate network of volunteers to help make the Thanksgiving holiday a little brighter for someone else. And, the response was truly overwhelming. Together, we were able to provide a holiday dinner to 500 people AND send 350 people home with a turkey to share with their family. The smiles, hugs, and tears we received still make many of us smile, and are an inspiration for us to do it again.
This year, we're partnering with the same organization and with your help, hope to provide dinner to over 750 people and turkeys to over 500 families!
How can you help? There are two ways:

Saturday, November 19th, from 9:00am-1:00pm,
3235 East 91st Street - Pilgrim Church.
We'll help serve the dinners, organize the waves of families that show up, clean up, and be there to talk to anyone who may need to know that there's a reason to smile this Thanksgiving. Bring a friend..come solo...carpool with us...come with your whole family. All are welcome, however you need to get there, and for however long you can stay.
2) Donate Turkey Money.

Like last year, My Own Two Hands will take all of the money donated; buy as many turkeys as possible, and personally deliver them to the families on behalf of all of you. 100% of all donations will go to the turkeys and whether you can donate $5, $10, or $20, we saw last year that every little bit really does help. (Cost per turkey is ~$13.)
